The SS.Rajamouli film ‘RRR’ has reportedly minted Rs 75 crores on its first weekend in the Hindi circuit.
The film has also increased the no. of footfalls into the theatres as last week it was Rs 38 crores what all other movies have collected at the box office, but this week this number has reportedly increased to Rs 40 crores nett with the arrival of ‘RRR’.
Even in the south the film reportedly had an excellent weekend. The film reportedly had double occupancy compared to the first day, which shows how much audiences are liking it.
Hindi version collection on Sunday = Rs 30+ crores
Total collection by the Hindi version during the first weekend = Rs 73 crores
Telugu version, the film has reportedly collected close to Rs. 20 crore (share)
Total Telugu on Day 3 = Rs 126 crore nett (approx) in the first weekend.
As per trade Pundits’ prediction, the film might earn around Rs 45 – 50 crores (Including all versions) on the first weekday based on the advance bookings the film had…!
With this, the film has reportedly crossed over Rs 450+ crores from the first weekend of its release worldwide.
World wide first weekend = 450+ crores
As per a few film trade pundits, ‘RRR’ is also the No.1 movie in the world for March 25th to 27th (weekend).

Since there is no other big movie at least for another week and if the collections continue at the same pace the movie has the capacity to set a post-pandemic record. This multi-starrer featuring Tollywood’s revered actors and picture directed by SS.Rajamouli as come back film post his ‘Baahubali’ Franchise had hit the right chords despite having mixed reviews at a few places.
